Americana Needlepoint

Our July project at the museum has had a slight change! Originally, we had planned to create a punch needle project, but unfortunately the materials and design just didn’t come together as hoped.

Instead, we’ll be creating a beautiful beginner-friendly needlepoint project featuring an original primitive design created especially for the Owensville Historical Society & Museum.

The project can easily be personalized to make it your own. For example, I added 1776 to my finished sample, but you’re welcome to customize yours however you’d like. As always, I’m sure everyone will add their own creative touch!

During class, you’ll learn the Continental Stitch, a wonderful beginner stitch that’s easy to master. We’ll get you started, and you’ll complete your project at home at your own pace, as needlepoint is a relaxing craft that takes a bit of time to finish.
